The Chattanooga REIA Onsite Renovation Group is an educational and networking group that focuses on the acquisition, renovation and retail resale (fix and flip) of single family residential homes. Having fair and consistent rental criteria in place helps alleviate confusion and misunderstandings with applicants. It also helps with Fair Housing issues. Cheryl Nydam is the owner of National Tenant Network Georgia. She has been with the company since 1994 when she helped her father, the original owner, get the business off the ground. There is not much that Cheryl has missed with the tenant screening process. On Thursday, June 13th at Chattanooga REIA's Landlord Luncheon, Cheryl will be teaching you about the tenant selection process and how that alone can help you keep those checks coming in each month. Come out and listen to Cheryl as she shows you that finding and pre-screening your tenants is key to operating a successful rental business. Cheryl will tell us what questions we need to ask when screening our tenants as well as what to watch out for. Her husband Thom also works with NTN. Thom wants to help landlords and property managers understand how NTN can help them make the best possible leasing decisions. You may or may not be ready to utilize the services that National Tenant Network can provide, but everyone will most definitely benefit from learning the best way to screen for tenants and Cheryl will also be available to answer any questions you might have about the rental market or property management.
